Then off to the Zoo. Just so you know. This is what happens when you try to take photos of muscles...
I have a love hate relationship with the Zoo. I love that we get to educate our kids about all the beautiful animals, but I feel very sad that they are locked up in cages. Zookeeper reminds me it could be worse and that the zoo is saving some of these animals from poachers.
This made me quite sad. It reads... 1978: 1000 Sumatran Tigers in the world..... but in 1996 only 250 tigers.
On a happier note...I got up close and personal with my favorite bird. They are huge. Almost as tall as me, and I'm not a short girl either.

Oh I find it woeful! But then again I am just not an animal kind of gal. Our kids love it and i love watching them love it - we used to have a membership for years but recently let it slip. We go to the aquarium and i actually love that, especially with the wacky penguins they have there at the moment.

ReplyDeleteLove the aquarium! All I can say is stay away if there is a storm forecast. Last time we went flinders street flooded and I ended up wading through waist deep water with three kids and a pram, until some lovely tourists came to our aid. I lost a shoe in the flood waters too!
